Individualized Language Plans (ILPs)
This study examines ILPs for multilingual learners (MLs). In recent years, districts and schools increasingly are implementing ILPs to support the English language proficiency of MLs. State departments of education have also encouraged or mandated the use of ILPs. Yet, no studies have investigated the content and quality of these plans. This study aims to improve the quality of ILPs and to strengthen their connection to evidence-based instructional practices.
